If you need to make the bible text bigger, you should be able to pinch-zoom, or keep clicking the "larger text" option on the menu.
Home page text is set to the default of your device - you can change the default text size of your device in the device settings menus.

Good spot. It's Gen 13v3 "which he had make there at the first" should be "which he had made there at the first". Looks like a few online Bibles have the same error.

I agree that this should be done.

Work is underway to set the text to the default size on the main screen on the basis that if you need bigger text, then you should probably change your default font size in system prefs.

AdminAndy Joiner (Admin, tekkies.co.uk) commented  ·

Maybe it should just be a fixed text size on the front page. Most apps do not need to adjust text size.

Have you tried an MP3 Bible? Free ones are available.

What accessibility tools do people tend to use on Android?

AdminAndy Joiner (Admin, tekkies.co.uk) commented  ·

Audio support is built in, and can be setup - here are the instructions

If you click the Study button to go to MySword, then long-hold on the text, you have the option to select text and then copy or share.

I've put in a new request for this on Android.
    https://github.com/OliveTreeBible/OliveTreeUrlExample/issues/1

AdminAndy Joiner (Admin, tekkies.co.uk) commented  ·

FYI: MySword published an API in August, which should allow the app to link to MySword. Not quite the same, but it's a step closer.

AdminAndy Joiner (Admin, tekkies.co.uk) commented  ·

OliveTree have said it's not possible at the moment, but have referred the request to their developers.

I looked at Sword integration, and it's a huge amount of effort.

Thinking about using Google's game achievements API to do this

    https://developers.google.com/games/services/

    - Saves to the cloud
    - Private or share with friends

If I can get details of the file structure, it should be possible.

NET may be a possibility as copyright is relatively straightforward. NIV is licensed differently in US compared with UK & elsewhere. It would be relatively easy to link to an online version of the Bibles, but you may get adverts & no offline.
